Please download the Friends of Rockefeller State Park Preserve Hunter Pace Release of Liability form for each person attending in any capacity – rider, groom, parent, friend, trainer, etc. Bring the completed, signed and dated forms to the registration desk the day of the pace. The team number will be assigned.

• First team out at 8:30, last team out at 11:30, Awards at 1:30. No assigned starting times
• Additional lunches for your guests are available at $25 per person
• Only cash, checks and Venmo will be accepted on Pace Day
• Please send a copy of each horse’s Rabies Vaccination Certificate and proof of negative Coggins test (dated within two years) with your entry
• Late entries will be accepted with a $25 late fee. Rabies and Coggins required at registration
• Proper trail etiquette is required at all times
• There will be no refunds unless the paces canceled, or Dr./Vet certificate is received before pace day
• ASTM/SEI certified riding helmets are REQUIRED for all riders
• Every rider/participant or parent/guardian must sign and submit the release of liability
• Rockefeller State Park Preserve has a carry in/carry out policy
• Stay on trails and/or edges of fields
• Anyone caught going intentionally of course will be disqualified
• Stay on the marked course and follow the arrows/ribbons
• Keep ill-mannered horses behind the other horses. Please tie a red ribbon to the tail of a horse that kicks
• Never run up on a group of riders. Approach at a reasonable speed. Ask permission to pass and then wait until there is enough room to safely pass. Wait until you pass everyone before moving off at a reasonable speed
• Beware of the condition of your horse at all times. If you feel it needs rest, let the others in your group know and ask them if they could stop until your horse is ready to begin again
• Please don’t spoil others’ fun with loud behavior
• If you decide not to complete the course, please let the registration desk know as soon as you return. If one person on the team does not finish, the team is disqualified.
• All ribbons and prizes must be claimed by December 15, 2023
• Teams are two or three riders. If you do not have a team, we will do our best to match you with a team
• Teams cannot change members or divisions once they start the pace
• ABSOLUTELY NO DOGS PERMITTED

Teams will go out on a first-come, first served basis.  There are no set start times.
